Things are definitely heating up in the border town of Ren Mar, California. Following Nancy’s breakthrough on the peote-like drug last episode, she is now trying to take back control of her household, only to be told by Silas: “this is what you get for having boys.” Not only fighting to regain control of her kids, she learns what is being moved through the tunnel besides pot: weapons, heroin and humans - and not humans gaining freedom.
As for Doug and his ‘mermex’ Maria, he’s learning that she does not plan on simply giving him a little nookie for smuggling her across the boarder. She begins to see all his negatives - the negatives that make us love him so.
