Couples - Week 2

Couples - Week 2

Terrible week for just about everyone. The weigh-ins were a mini-disaster for all but one or two of the couples. The women especially seemed to struggle.

They say that Week 2 is one of the worst weeks, and it showed in a big way. This show proves time and time again that dieting and weight-loss is a tricky battle - sometimes it just doesn’t go how you expect. But that by itself isn’t an excuse - you need to push through the tough times and keep working towards your goal. As The Biggest Loser has shown over the past five seasons, it’s not impossible, and the results can be life altering.

I was happy to see that Curtis and Mallory seem to be doing well after getting voted off. They seem like good people. I wish they would show you how much time has passed so you can understand how long they’ve been working at it.

The Yellow team (the divorced couple) seems to be in some trouble. That’s just not a healthy relationship, and it seems to be dragging them down.

Betting Recap:

What will be the highest weight loss (in pounds) amongst the couples?

Dan and Jackie had the highest total weight loss among the couples with a combined total of 16 pounds. “9 - 16 lbs” is the correct answer.

The LOWEST percentage weight loss will be:

Curtis and Mallory weighed in with the lowest percentage .36%. The correct answer was “3% or lower”. This was actually a really tough week for all of The Biggest Loser contestants, with most of them falling below that the 3% mark.

Will any individuals GAIN weight during the next weigh in?

Sadly, Mallory from the brown team gained 1 pound during the week.

Which couple will be voted off?

After falling below the yellow line, Curtis and Mallory were voted off. It was believed (I think correctly) that they would have a better chance then Paul and Kelly of succeeding in the real world.
