Puzzlerama

7/25/08

This week’s episode revolved around the a block party game organized by Tom and Trina. The game, Puzzlerama, revolves around solving the neighborhood secrets - the team able to solve the most secrets wins. The twist is that the two person teams do not consist of the married couples, but rather mixed couples.

Susan decides to invite Janet and Roger, adding to the sexual tension following Roger and Susan’s secret trip to Tom and Trina’s pool party last episode. Another unexpected visitor at the party was Melida, Bruce’s co-worker we were led to believe he slept with during the blackout last episode. Turns out they did not. But of course they both end up on the same team, so the heavy flirting continues, eventually ending up with the two of them kissing while out playing the game.

As for Susan, she of course is paired up with Roger by Trina and end up fighting their urges the entire episode. While out playing the game, they come across her daughter Laurie, who is campaigning for Jimmy Carter with her ex-teacher. Susan begins to connect the dots and appears to really have a concern about what she thinks is happening.

Lastly, Janet is paired up with Tom, who she begins to actually trust. While out playing the game, he sees, and prevents her from seeing, Melinda and Bruce kissing. When Bruce gets back to the house, Tom quickly warns him not to ‘dip his pen in the company ink.’ This is also when the highly competitive Janet rushes into Trina’s closet to solve one last secret and inadvertantly sees the picture Trina took of Roger when he and Susan visited the previous episode. This causes the secret between Roger and Susan to come out in front of the entire party.
