Johnny Fairplay Voted Off the Island First - 2/7/08
In a shocker that nobody would have predicted, not only did the Favorites lose to the Fans in the first immunity challenge, but they voted off the most notorious player in Survivor history: Johnny Fairplay. What is going on here?
The Favorites are officially on notice, and I’m sure they will rise to the occasion. The Fans came out swinging, but we’ll see what they have in a couple weeks when “surviving” starts to take its toll. In the meantime, Johnny Fairplays reputation preceded him - he told his teammates that he wanted to be voted off so he could go home to his pregnant girlfriend. Half the team assumed this was a trick of some sort…but in the end it seemed to be a genuine gesture from Fairplay, and his team gave him his wish.
Any way you cut it, this season of Survivor looks like it’s going to be fun and intense! We’ve got motivated players, favorites from the past, and lots of people hooking up! Good times!
