I think the couple aspect of Big Brother is slowly growing a little old. In the beginning it was a cute way to putting a new twist on the show and sure enough we had several pairs that didn’t like each other and let their feelings show. But now everyone has, well, settled down together and what little bickering is done isn’t making for good Big Brother television.
Which must be why, Big Brother is throwing in a siren now that could ring out at any time (which normally means it will ring out in the middle of the night) forcing the houseguests to swarm to the living room for a surprise. I think this surprise will be the separation of the couples. With most new shows returning now not until at least May now that the Writer’s Strike is over they need to separate the couples and make the show last longer. If a new show comes back earlier than planned they can always do a double eviction night to speed things along.
When we last left the Big Brother house, Joshuah and Sharon became the new Head of Household and set their sights on Allison and Ryan. Joshuah does not like Allison mostly for Allison lie that she was a lesbian and that her partner was Shelia who is paired with Adam. Joshuah, who is gay, feels that is something she should not lie about and wants her, along with Ryan, evicted from the house.
Last night the Veto Ceremony was held, a mostly physical competition where one houseguest, the man in this case, ran back and forth while connected to a pulley that connected to their other partner. As the man ran away from the pulley the female partner went up and put puzzle pieces on this board hung up in the air. The man ran away for he was picking up the puzzle pieces from a box and bringing them back to his partner. The trick was to use your strength to get to the box and get the pieces, bring them back to your partner, and after running away again give your partner enough time to place the puzzle pieces. In the beginning Matt and Natalie took the lead but Matt kept running back and forth not giving Natalie enough time to place the puzzle pieces. It looked like it was going to be a tight race between Matt and Natalie and Ryan and Allison the two on the block but just in the nick of time Mattie and Natalie win the Power of Veto.
Of course they took themselves off the block - they are not going to pull another Marcelus. With Matt and Natalie off the block, the Head of Household couple Joshuah and Sharon nominate Adam and Shelia for eviction. It would seem this has sealed Ryan and Allison’s fate but you never know. Adam made people feel weird when he first got into the house although he has settled down in recent weeks and Shelia is half of the lie that Joshuah is upset about Allison for. Who knows! Who knows who will be evicted next! Who knows who will win the next Hoh! And, will that siren go off? Get your votes in.
