Season 4: Ji Yeon: Sun’s Flashforward and Jin’s Flashback - 3/13/08
A flashback and a flashforward in the same episode?!?! What’s next, Locke and Ben becoming best friends? This show is clever - so clever, that I’m beginning to think that Locke and Ben may become best friends.
The main questions that I took away from this episode (some being new and some being old questions resurfacing):
1) Will Ben ultimately be bad or good? With two competing stories, that of Charles Widmore and the one that Ben is peddling, it certainly seems as though both are lying - but that Ben is lying more…Though things are not always as they seem.
2) Why would Charles Widmore care that Ben staged a plain crash - using 360 bodies (likely true - using the mass grave of all the people Ben killed before the survivors reached the island).
3) Why is Michael pushing Ben’s story? And is he telling the truth? Or is the captain telling the truth? I know…Similar to question #1.
4) How does Jin die? Is he really dead? Can the future (as presented in the flashforwards) change?
5) How does Hurley visit Jin when he’s seemingly restricted to a mental hospital?
6) Why did the woman commit suicide by jumping off the ship? Was she suffering from the ‘time jumping?’
7) Was the newspaper that Jack read (where someone died) in the first flashforward in the season finale of season 4 (last season) showing that Jin died?
