11/4/07 - The Therapist
The latest episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Therapist begins with Larry and Cheryl having a drink at a bar. Larry is showing Cheryl how he is a changed man - he dressed up and bit his tongue at times where he would generally make flip and selfish remarks. It’s actually quite painful to watch Larry pretend to be ‘new Larry,’ leaving his old awkward debates and squabbles inside. As it turns out, he is taking advise from his therapist, advise that turns disastrous when he offers an ultimatum to Cheryl about moving back in. Of course, Larry drags his therapist to Cheryl’s new home on the beach to explain to her that he suggested Larry offer an ultimatum.
Larry decides to set up a hoax burglary of Cheryl’s therapist’s purse. Of course, he convinces his therapist to be the thief…and he is arrested. 
Not only does this plan backfire for Larry’s therapist, but Cheryl’s therapist falls for Larry and convinces Cheryl to stop seeing Larry…Ultimately, Larry pretends to have Alzheimer’s so that the Cheryl’s therapist no longer wants a relationship with him. This actually helps Larry cleanly release his therapist (the purse thief) from prison because he pretends to not remember what he looks like when questioned by cops. The show ends with Larry’s therapist having a session with Cheryl’s therapist divulging his last couple of days in prison…Cheryl gets a call from her therapist and the show ends…
