10/28/07 - The N Word
The latest episode of The N Word had traces of Seinfeld written all over it! Larry goes on a date with a Doctor he met while he was at the Hospital with Jeff. Everything about her, down to where she lives, is 100% reminiscent of a hospital…Fish tank in her living room with chairs and magazines, her bedroom has the thin paper draped across the bed, even a note she writes him is in ‘doctor scribble.’
The most awkward moments is when Larry, having cleared out a section in the backyard for Aunt Black to use for gardening, receives a hug and becomes erect…She feels it and runs. Five minutes later on in the episode, he is massaging his groin in the car (it looks like he is pleasuring himself) as Aunt Black is walking towards the car…She drops her plants and runs again. This show somehow outdoes itself with every passing week. The interweaving of the racism issues and bald issues were brilliantly done. Amazing!
