This episode began with a child and his babysitter both violently bludgeoned to death. The killer turned out to be a serial killer the FBI had been after for 6 years after he kidnapped a child in NYC after killing his babysitter. It’s learned that the killer was traveling cross-country by train to track down the child who had been living with his ex-wife. She worked as a waitress at a casino, so he makes stops at cities with casinos, finally finding her in Boulder City. Once he finds her, she is killed and he takes the boy, slipping through CSI and the FBI’s fingers at the very last moment, leaving Nevada on a bus – looks like we may have another running plot-line – that is until the Writer’s Guild strike stops production of the show…
