Goodbye & Good Luck

11/15/07

An apparent jumper from a Vegas college campus is the first victim this episode. Turns out she was pushed out the her window to her death.

The second case involved an apparent case of domestic disturbance, in which the woman was stabbed, but survived her attack. This seems to be a real turning point for Sara – she doesn’t have any interest in the case and is convinced there’s nothing she can do.

But it’s the suspect of the college victim, a suspect in a previous case Sara had and “let get away,” that sends her over the edge. It was the case involving the murder of a girl by an 18 year old boy, but a false confession by his creepy, younger, genius sister that got him off. Because of her age, she had a very short juvenile sentence, allowing her to get out and head to college. Turns out she’s doing grad work at the LV school where her older brother is attending. When she realizes that it was the sister who killed both girls, but she can’t prove it, the brother takes the fall for the latest murder, eventually hanging himself in his cell. This series of events leads to Sara finally quitting CSI, not before kissing Grissom goodbye in front of other CSI members.

The Results:
What will be the cause of death of at least one of the victims of next episode?
The brother killed himself in his cell by hanging

Will Grissom and Sara’s engagement be revealed?
Nope, but Sara did kiss him in front of the rest of the office, just before quitting and leaving Las Vegas
