Bull

1/10/08

CSI’s back baby! Likely not for long, but we’ll take it. “Whoooo are you… who who… who who… I really want to know…”

The episode involves a legendary bull rider who was found dead in the ring one night after he had had himself a pretty rough fall, but walked away. Grissom and Greg both show up to investigate.

The second case involves a homicide of a 27 year old prostitute hit a truck owned by the same dead bull rider.

Turns out that two members of the rodeo were “horse rustling” – stealing semen from the top bull at the rodeo – apparently worth $20k a pop. When the bull rider, who came back that evening to ride the bull again, he stumbled across the two men in “the act.” When a fight occurred, a partial fracture in his vertebrae, the result of his fall earlier in the evening, the fracture became a full fracture, instantly killing him. After the men tried to stage the rider’s death, they took his truck to rush to meet the buyer and by chance killed his girlfriend, the same prostitute found earlier. To complicate it even more, that same prostitute, when hit, was on her way to marry another man she had met that very night. When she never showed at the chapel, the young man went to the bar he met her in and killed her pimp, assuming he was the cause of her death.

Oh, and Warrick is back from his suspension – guess the time off from the writers strike was good for someone.
