So, here's a quote from the afterlife at the end of the last episode:
Meredith: "Am I dead?"
Ghost: "Damn right you are."
Meredith: "Holy.....!"
I think she was about to say was
"Holy #$%@!.... shack jack just won a million TV BB bucks!!!!"YES

First, the show is called "Grey's Anatomy" and although the death of a main character would be interesting - I doubt they will change the name of the show to "Yang's Anatomy" or "Sherpard's Anatomy" - and yes I know that the title is also in reference to a real book on medicine - but still she will be alive by the end of next the episode.
If anything we are going to get a whole hour of Meredith's life crammed into that second from when the camera zoomed in to her name on the screen with her being flatlined - until her heart comes back beating (perhaps right after someone who died earlier tells her to "wake up" or "you must live!" or some other catchphrase that gets ones heart beating again.
Sorry, shack jack - I'll be very surprised if you win a million TV BB bucks!
Eric.

Come on, lots of TV characters die, Marissa on the OC, Colonel Blake on MASH, Big Pussy, Buffy, Kenny, Mr. Hooper. Show me the money!

None of those listed above could be considered the "main star" which Meredith is (we hear her thoughts via voiceover - and unless they want to go Desperate Housewives and do a voiceover from a dead character) I don't see her going anywhere.
And sure Marissa was killed off (the whole show is begin killed off now) - Buffy was killed at the end of the show's run on Season 5 (and then brought back to life and lived at the end of the show's run a second time) at the end of Season 7.
Meredith isn't going anywhere.

I don't know, I heard they had to change to name from "Hanging with Mr. Hooper" to "Sesame Street" when they killed off the big guy.

Nah, Sesame Street premeried in 1969 and Mr. Hooper's farewell episode aired November 24th 1983 (the actor died in 1982).
Don't confuse Big Bird. He lived on Sesame Street way before his friend Mr. Hooper passed away.
