Is American Idol having too many audition episodes? First there were six, then seven, and now this year they had seven plus a "Best of the Rest" episode which highlighted not really the "best" but a lot of the "rest" (many already seen). Will next year have even more? I will admit that I enjoy the audition shows - but it is getting a little tiring, don't you think?

I like watching the top 24. From there - all is good.

At least next week is only a two parter. The first being Hollywood ending with a climax no doubt to the second episode showing us who they picked for the final 24.
