This was the first performance show of the top 40 contestants. The first 10 performed tonight, with five going through to the next round. Who will it be?
Extreme Dance FX – “terrific for tonight, but you’ll have to come back better, faster, tighter”
The James Gang – “You’re trying too hard to impress us. If you’re lucky enough to be brought back, you need to focus on your strength – singing”
Derek Berry as “Britney Spears” – the Hoff: “I’m questioning my sexuality”
Elite – “Terrific set, I like your energy,” “You’re going to be the next Lara Croft”
Ronny B. – “I don’t think you’ll win the competition, and if you do I’ll leave the country, but I like your spirit,” “You have an absurd amount of confidence”
The Cadence – “We need it to be more animalistic,” “You’ve got to tighten it up and really wow us”
Jessica Price – “That was fantastic – the only criticism is that you’re not smiling enough and believing you are a star”
Shimshi – “You had the biggest stage in the world, and you came out here did a card trick – big mistake”
DC Cowboys – “You’re great fun, but as dancers, you’re way, way below what we need”
Neal E. Boyd – “You have become the Michael Phelps of this performance – whoever wants to win will have to beat you”
…and because of an injury forcing one of the top 40 out of the competition, one act was voted back in. That act is Donald Braswell the singer who originally lost his voice because of car accident
