Season 7 - Final 7 Perform Mariah Carey- 4/17/08
It was Mariah Carey night last night, and amazingly, the guys did better than the girls! How did that happen???
I’m glad Ryan Seacrest called out Randy with the whole “how are you going to NOT compare these girls to the original?” line of questioning. I think that set the tone for the night. In the end, despite some decent performances from the girls, the guys just really blew them away. There was no question. David Archulleta sang his ass off, David Cook took a HUGE risk and it paid off, and even Jason Castro found a way to stay true to himself.
I think you are looking at a bottom three of Syesha (not a crowd favorite), Carly (a letdown performance), and Kristy Lee Cook (who always seems to be there). Honestly, I think it’s going to be Carly that goes home - out of the three, she’s the one I least remember from last night.
We’ll see.
